In this lesson your task is to learn the simple vocabulary for the chapter. Similar to the situation in which many athletes run in order to train for another sport, language learners need to study vocabulary in order to become a better speaker, listener, reader, and writer. It will be much easier to read paragraphs in Spanish if you do not have to look up 10 new words on each page. Spend a quality 15 minutes of studying vocabulary each day. It will be the most productive 15 minutes of your day and you will feel good when you can understand the sentences in the following lessons.

Practice pronunciation and translation with the flashcards below. Then go to the lower right side of the box and select "Scatter" for the next study mode, checking what you have learned. Once you feel confident in your knowledge of the vocabulary words, change the study mode again to the "Test" and see how well you can do. Last, practice your listening and spelling skills by changing the study mode to the "Speller" activity.
